April 2020

Dear Speech and Language Families,

I hope this letter find everyone well!  I wanted to touch base with you to tell you I miss you all!  These circumstances were unexpected and we will work together to address student needs.

My current plan:

1.  I am in the process of gathering materials for each student that focuses on their speech and language goals.  These will be in their speech folders, along with their speech notebook, which we used during our sessions this school year.  Please watch for notices on the school web page, as well as classroom teacher's Remind for any possible pick-up dates/times in the future.

2.  Starting April 13th, I plan to have established office hours.  During these hours, I will be available for students and families to contact me by email (ahudson@eskymos.com), video chat or a phone call (789-5668).  If you email me, please use "speech therapy" as the subject.  I do check my email everyday, so please feel free to email me anytime.

     Monday:          10:00 - 11:30
     Wednesday:     10:00 - 12:00
     Thursday:        10:00 - 11:30

3.  Starting April 13th, I plan to post a speech and language activity each week.

You can also use the tabs found on this blog to access speech and language resources, articulation words lists, and other activities to enhance speech and language skills.  These activities are set-up to be fun, enjoyable and familiar.  It is important to continue to practice these skills to maintain progress.  However, I understand this is an overwhelming time for families and I do not want anyone to feel any pressure to complete them.  Please do what works best for your family.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need any resources/materials.  Thank you for your patience during this unique time.

Stay safe & stay healthy!

Love,
Mrs. Hudson
